{"id":428,"date":"2026-08-03T16:32:41","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T16:32:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thirstier.news\/?p=428"},"modified":"2026-08-03T16:32:41","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T16:32:41","slug":"release-number-9274-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thirstier.news\/?p=428","title":{"rendered":"Release Number 9274-26"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"press-release\">\n<h1 class=\"press-release-title\">Release Number 9274-26<\/h1>\n<h1>\n<span>CFTC Seeks Public Comment on Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Concerning Affiliations Among Certain CFTC-Regulated Entities<\/span><br \/>\n<\/h1>\n<p><b>July 30, 2026<\/b><\/p>\n<div class=\"field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field--item\">\n<p><strong>WASHINGTON<\/strong> \u2014 The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking seeking public comment on amendments to Part 37, Part 38, and Part 39 of the CFTC\u2019s regulations, as well as Commission regulations 1.52 and 1.55.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Commission has continued to observe growth in the number of affiliations between CFTC-regulated entities\u00ad \u2014 including derivatives clearing organizations, designated contract markets, swap execution facilities, futures commission merchants, and other market participants \u2014 such as market makers. In light of these developments, the Commission proposes new rules and amendments to its existing regulations to address issues that may arise in connection with such firms, including with respect to perceived and potential conflicts of interest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy setting forth principles-based regulations for vertically integrated market structures, the CFTC is taking a significant step in our continued efforts to support responsible innovation in U.S. derivatives markets,\u201d said Chairman Michael S.
