Washington D.C., July 8, 2026 \u2014 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The\u00a0Securities and Exchange Commission\u2019s\u00a0Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee<\/a> announced that it will hold a meeting on Tuesday, July\u00a021, 2026 at 10 a.m. to explore ways to modernize public market access and encourage IPOs and small public company capital formation.<\/p>\n

The meeting will be open to the public and held at the SEC\u2019s headquarters at 100 F Street, NE, Washington D.C. The discussion will be streamed live on SEC.gov.<\/p>\n

Building upon ideas generated during the prior committee meeting, members will continue exploring ways to encourage more companies to go and stay public. The committee will consider ways to modernize the IPO process and potential regulatory reforms, including\u00a0certain\u00a0recently proposed\u00a0SEC\u00a0rulemakings aimed at reducing regulatory friction and\u00a0facilitating\u00a0capital formation in the public securities markets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To\u00a0facilitate\u00a0discussion and\u00a0deepen\u00a0the committee\u2019s\u00a0understanding of\u00a0the regulatory landscape,\u00a0members\u00a0will\u00a0hear from\u00a0SEC staff in\u00a0the Division of Corporation Finance\u00a0who will\u00a0provide an\u00a0overview of recent relevant rulemakings.\u00a0Members will also hear from Daniel Zinn, General Counsel and Chief of Staff, OTC Markets Group, and Sue Washer, biotechnology consultant and former CEO of Applied Genetic Technologies Corporation, who will share their experiences and views on ways to further support small public company\u00a0capital formation.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee provides advice and recommendations to the SEC on rules, regulations, and policy matters relating to small businesses.\u00a0<\/p>\n
